The kitchen proposal by Fabrizio Borraccino sinks his roots in the territory and in the seasonality, with combination and composition never trivial, but which are the result of a strong passion and research.: herbs, from the kitchen garden of the castle, bread, breadsticks, cakes and croissants for a delicious Gourmet breakfast, everything handmade, extra virgin olive oil produced in the Chianti Hills, with local game, cheese and cold cuts furnished from selected local producers.
At midday it’s possible to enjoy the lunch in our terrace overlooking the valley, with a simple Menù, but typical of Tuscan tradition, and “Il Pievano”, open every night, and composed by two different rooms – Sala dei Papi and “Sala degli Arazzi”- and the cloister, for romantic candlelit dinner during the summer season.
"La Terrazza", restaurant is only open for lunch proposing a “light” break in the informal inn or on the terrace overlooking two Sangiovese vine yarded hectares of the castle’s land. The cuisine and quality of raw materials are of highest level, although used for preparing “simple” and light dishes. The wine list is the same of the "Il Pievano" restaurant and features about 500 labels with a wide selection of Chianti wines, without neglecting most important Tuscan, National and International labels.
"Il Pievano" restaurant is open every night and consists of two indoor halls - Sala dei Papi and Sala degli Arazzi- and of the cloister before the parish Church of Santa Maria a Spaltenna where it is possible to enjoy a candlelit dinner in a charming atmosphere. Chef Fabrizio Borraccino is inspired by a cuisine linked to the territory to create and match unique dishes which change according to the season and are presented with a professional, attentive and friendly service.
